How AFLAI engages governments
AFLAI is not looking for polished proposals or formal applications. Governments should not have to write an assessment or fill out a lengthy form to access support. The most valued stakeholders in this initiative are governments — and they should be treated accordingly.
The approach is simple: governments tell us who they are and what they are working on. AFLAI follows up with a conversation. After that conversation, the AFLAI team writes a one-pager summarizing what was heard and proposing what support could look like. This mirrors the approach used successfully in Ghana and Nigeria.
What happens after you submit
A member of the AFLAI team will follow up within one week to schedule a conversation. We will listen to what you are working on, ask questions, and then write a short note summarizing what we heard and proposing how AFLAI might help. Nothing is committed at that stage — it is a conversation.
Depending on your challenge, you may be matched with a technical expert for one-on-one support, or invited to join a cohort of countries working through similar assessment questions together.
